Death-defying Beauty

We drove up to Flat Top parking lot to get these pictures. It was slightly icy on the incredibly steep and switchbacky road up that mountain. I was fairly certain we wouldn't make it back down.

But we did =)

Sheryl, me, and Kristen.

That's where the moose rut in the "fall."

Sheryl going towards the light.

Snow glitters like... glitter...
Ssshhhh...

I am a snow ninja.
Kristen and Sheryl playing in the snow.

Flat Top covered in snow at sunrise (10:30am).
The next pictures were taken in Whittier.
We went to find Whittier Creek which Kristen insisted was awesome, but the park where it is was completely iced over so we just stopped and took some pictures.
It was incredibly windy that day, which of course makes for even more stunning pictures.
This one is my favorite.

The Whittier Tunnel. Again, best tunnel ever in the world.

Beautiful

Falling snow is really pretty. Except when it turns to ice.

The First Snow

It didn't last very long, but these are from the first snow of the year. It's snowed again now, and all the roads are icy.

I do not like icy roads. I wish I were coming home now so I wouldn't have to drive on the ice for 2 more months. Oh well. I'll be home soon.
