The Watson Lake Sign Forest was the only cool thing in Watson Lake.

For my father.

I love you, Daddy.

Whatta trek! The pictures, the vistas, the memories (mine, that is! You'll have enuff of your own!)
I thumbed what must be the same trail as you from Edmonton AB to Whitehorse YK way back in the early 80's. In December. 'Cause someone said, " Ya gotta go see the Northern Lites, man!!"
Man, I did way too many drugs in that era. But, your stories AND pics musta re-animated some of my brain cells because suddenly I can remember all those mtns, and trees, and the wolves, and long long roads. {{shiver}}
Good luck on your stay in AK!! Your tripblog is supreme!!

Oh, I get it now. It is quite literally a sign forest. Haha, I kept thinking that it was something else. Awesome pics!

Yeah it was pretty cool. Signs from all over the world that people had brought and left there. Started way back in the 1940s when a U.S. soldier got homesick on base.
